Homework for the week of September 27th

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. This week, the students in room 307 will be reading the story Alexander, Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday. This story is an example of realistic fiction, a made up story that could really happen. Our reading test will be on Friday as well as our final spelling assessment. As always, we will have our spelling pretest on Wednesday. We will not have a grammar test this week, because we are studying sentences and questions and next week, we will be studying commands and exclamations. Therefore, I thought it would be beneficial to combine a grammar test for the next two weeks being that our focus will be on different types of sentences. Also, there will be no math assessments for this week.

Please check back throughout the week, there may be changes to the homework assigned to the children.

Reading – Read story and study vocabulary

Math – Fact practice 16B & Homework 16B worksheet

Spelling – Write words 5x’s each (one column should be cursive the other four columns can be printed)

Science – Study vocabulary and content sheet. Test will be sometime during the week of October 4^th.

Tuesday

Reading – Read story and study vocabulary

Math – Oral fact practice 17B, Fact homework 17B worksheet, and homework 17B worksheet

Spelling – Write words 5x’s each (one column should be cursive the other four columns can be printed) and study for pretest.

Science – Study vocabulary and content sheet.

Wednesday

Reading – Read story and study vocabulary

Math – Fact practice 18B worksheet and homework 18B worksheet

Spelling – Pretest corrections 10x’s each

Science – Study vocabulary and content sheet

Thursday

Reading – Read story and study vocabulary. Test tomorrow.

Spelling – Study for test. Test tomorrow.

Science – Study vocabulary and content sheet

Math – Oral fact practice 19B, Fact practice 19B worksheet, and homework 19B worksheet

Friday

Review very important papers folder and return for Monday
