Wow, can you believe that next week is Thanksgiving? This week, we will be completing the Math 4-sight test on Tuesday and the Reading 4-Sight test on Thursday. In reading, we will start the story Prudy's Problem and How She Solved It. The reading test will be on Tuesday, November 23rd. In grammar, we are working on distinguishing plural nouns and singular nouns. Our test for grammar will also be on Tuesday, November 23rd. In math, we will be working on identifying place value to hundreds and writing three-digit numbers in expanded form as well as adding two-digit numbers using mental computation. All math tests will take place when we return after the Thanksgiving break. In spelling, we are working on spelling compound words and our pretest will be on Thursday, November 18th. Our final spelling test will take place on Tuesday, November 23rd.

I'm sure you already know, our beetles arrived today. We already named four of them: John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Please take some time this week to discuss some creative names with your child. We will vote on names this week.
