Homework for the week of January 10th

This will be a very busy week for the students in room 307. The students are excited to learn about our crayfish. We are first going to look at their habitat and how to properly handle them. Also, we will be observing their structures. Please look for the study guides to come home on Tuesday. A date for the test has not been determined at this time but it will not be this week or the early part of next week.

We will continue working on contractions in spelling. Our pretest will be on Monday, January 10th and our final spelling test will be on Wednesday, January 12th.

In reading, we will continue working on the story The Gardener. Our test will be on Wednesday, January 12th. We will start our next story, Pushing up the Sky, on Thursday, January 13th.

Our grammar test will also be on Wednesday, January 12th. It will focus on action and linking verbs.

This week in math, we will be working on measuring cups, tablespoons, and teaspoons, writing factions, subtracting multiples of 10, and identifying perfect squares. A written assessment and a multiplication of 7 facts assessment will take place on Monday, January 10th.
