This Week's Focus
Reading – This week we will be starting our new
story, Henry & Mudge. This story will focus on character and setting. No
reading assessments this week.
Writing – We are working on writing narratives.
Please have your child write stories at home. Please encourage them to have the
following things when writing sentences: capital letters, punctuation, and ask
“Does my sentence make sense?”
Math – We will be wrapping up topic 2 early this week. We will be
reviewing for our assessment today. Our math assessment for topic 2 will take
place tomorrow. We will be starting topic 3 on Wednesday. This topic will focus
on subtraction.
Science – This week we will be reviewing for our
science assessment. Please review the study guide that was sent home last week.
Our assessment will take place on Friday, October 27th.
Reminders
Please
send party money into school ASAP. Our Halloween Party will take place on
Friday, October 27th from 1:30-3:30. If you are interested in
helping with the party, please let me know ASAP. Parents who help must have
their clearances on file and have paid their PTO dues for the year. Thank you!
Upcoming Events
We
will be having our annual Halloween parade on Friday. Please have your child bring
their costume to school in a bag, which is labeled with their name.
