Today we had a written math assessment and will be working on following recipes, setting a dial, determining elapsed time, identifying the missing addend in a "some, some more" story, subtracting two-digit numbers, and writing numbers to 1,000. We are also making some goodies in class. These snacks will be prepared by the children and they will have practice following a recipe. Please continue to study the multiplication facts with your child.
In reading, we are still working on the story, Pushing Up the Sky. We will have our reading test on Friday. We will be putting the play on for other classrooms.
In grammar, we are still working on main and helping verbs. Our assessment will take place on Thursday.
In science, we are monitoring and recording crayfish behavior. More than likely, our science test will be next week. Please continue to review the content, vocabulary, and crayfish diagram.
Our final spelling test will take place on Wednesday, January 26th.
Also, this past week, your child brought home a paper stating what president they were responsible for researching. This project is due February 22nd.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Try to stay warm!
