Homework for the week of April 11, 2011

Thank you for checking our homework helpline. This is such an exciting week. We are finally getting nice weather and our students will be taking a trip to the high school for their swimming party on Friday afternoon. Please send back the permission slips ASAP.

In reading, we are working on the story America's Champion Swimmer: Gertrude Ederle. This story focuses on fact and opinion. We will be having our reading test on Friday, April 15th.

In spelling, we are working with words that have the suffixes -er, -or, -ess, and -ist. Our pretest will take place on Wednesday and our final test on Friday.

In grammar we are once focusing on contractions. Our grammar test will take place on Friday. Also, the children will have grammar homework several times this week.
