Homework for the week of February 7, 2011

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we have a "normal" week without any snow. Providing all goes well, we will be very busy. This week in math, we will be working on telling and showing time to the minute, rounding numbers to the nearest hundred, adding, subtracting, and comparing numbers, and writing fractions to how a part of a whole. We will have a fact assessment on Friday.

In Reading, we will start the week by reviewing for our test on Night Letters. Our test will be on Tuesday. We will start our new story, A Symphony of Whales, on Wednesday. Please check back on Tuesday evening for an updated list of spelling words and vocabulary words for our new story.

In grammar, we will continue working on subject-verb agreement. On Wednesday we will start working on defining and identifying present, past, and future tenses.

Our final spelling test will be on Tuesday. We will start our new list of words on Wednesday. Please check back on Tueday evening for an updated spelling list.

Please continue to work on the president report. The reports are due on February 22, 2011.
